Kenwood's top end models incorporate a high-performance 24-bit DAC featuring low crosstalk between left and right channels, high resolution and crystal-clear sound reproduction with extremely low noise. In particular, this new DAC divides the amplitude direction of the signal into 64 levels and reduces amplitude level, allowing effective suppression of noise both inside and outside the signal band. The result is reproduction of fine tones unnoticeable with previous DACs.
The top end model features a newly developed Digital Audio Platform an innovative platform that improves dynamic range and noise tolerance. CD and USB sources are input directly to the DSP as degital signals, skipping the digital-to-analogue conversion. This provides a crystal-clear sound quality with less degradation. Also, this is Kenwoods first step to the Full Digital Audio Platform that will be realized in the near future.
